excuses

i am tired

i am in pain

so many voices are arguing in my head

i shouldn't be so selfish as to spend time on my own little thing here

no one wants to read what i have to say anyway

i should go do the laundry

do i even know what our history class is about today?

BUT

the Psalms were written by people underneath it all, people who felt worthless and unwanted

God loves to use the outlier, the one on the sideline

so this is my sacrifice of praise to You, Lord

thank You for time to sit still

thank You for space to express myself

even if that self is feeling puny.

'Don't use dirty or foolish or filthy words. Instead, say how thankful you are. ' Ephesians 5:4

  1. I love how you echo the Psalms in pouring out your heart and feelings to God - and then seeing his loving correction. Thank you! #23 FMF
