routine

where have i been for a month and a half? why have i skipped over the FMF emails and moved on? well, there was the thing and oh yeah, the other thing. those were exciting and time consuming. this week we got a foot of snow! that was certainly not the normal routine, shoveling our way to the road.

when i wake up in the morning, i run through the list "what day is it? who needs to go where? do i need to drive them there?" it is so, so easy to get caught up in the minutiae of daily life, making sure all the schoolwork and chores get done. it is so easy to forget the most important thing.

Hebrews 3:12Be careful then, dear brothers and sisters.
3:12 Greek brothers.
Make sure that your own hearts are not evil and unbelieving, turning you away from the living God. 13You must warn each other every day, while it is still “today,” so that none of you will be deceived by sin and hardened against God. 14For if we are faithful to the end, trusting God just as firmly as when we first believed, we will share in all that belongs to Christ.

God is good, in sunshine and in snow. Thanks for reading, friends! Head on over to http://fiveminutefriday.com/2018/03/22/fmf-link-up-routine/ to read more thoughts. and if someone could try out the "subscribe" button for me, that would be fabulous!

  1. I'm glad you are back today! I struggle with staying consistent in even my FMF posts, it's a byproduct of being terrible at routines. But I'm working on it! I hope you have a blessed day!

  5. Consistency is so difficult to maintain. That's why I have lists of my daily, weekly, and monthly routines. That way I free up my brain for other stuff! But time does get away so easily!
